Using Nogbase in ChatGPT and Claude: What Developers and Brokers Can Do

Once Nogbase is connected to ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code or Codex, brokers and developers can ask about their unit inventory in plain language and get answers from live Nogbase data. A broker can say "two-bedroom units in Dubai Marina under AED 3 million with a post-handover plan" instead of filtering lists. A developer can ask "what changed in my projects since Monday?" The connector is read-only, and every answer is limited to what your Nogbase account can already see.
This guide covers what each side can do, what the connector deliberately cannot do, and how your data is handled. The connect steps for each assistant are on the AI connectors page.
What the connector is
Nogbase publishes a remote MCP server, the standard way AI assistants connect to outside tools. In ChatGPT, Nogbase is listed in the plugin directory, so you install it from there. In Claude, Claude Code and Codex, you add it once as a custom connector with the URL https://api.nogbase.ae/mcp. Either way, you sign in with your Nogbase email and password, and choose which workspace the assistant may read. From then on, when your question needs Nogbase data, the assistant calls Nogbase and answers from the result.
Three rules apply to every connection:
- Read-only. The assistant can search and read. It cannot create, change or delete anything.
- One workspace. Each connection reads one Nogbase workspace, the one you chose when you signed in. To use another, connect again and choose it.
- Your permissions only. The assistant sees exactly what your account sees in the Broker or Developer app, nothing more.
What brokers can do
Find units that fit a client
Describe the client the way you would to a colleague. Nogbase searches the projects and units you can see, including projects shared privately with your agency, and returns matching units with price, bedrooms, size and floor plans.
- "Find two-bedroom apartments in Dubai Marina under AED 3 million with a post-handover payment plan."
- "Show villas in Abu Dhabi with at most 10% on booking and handover before 2029."
- "Which projects in Business Bay have a gym and a pool, and units under AED 2 million?"
Area names work in English or Arabic, and an area includes everything inside it. Payment-plan terms such as the booking percentage, the share before handover and post-handover plans can all be part of the question.
The answer also says how each project matched. Some matches come from live units the developer has shared with you. Others come only from the project's published unit mix and starting price; for those, confirm availability with the developer's sales team before promising a unit.
Compare projects for a buyer
- "Compare these three projects for a client who wants a one-bedroom with at most 10% on booking."
- "Which of these projects hands over first, and what is the cheapest available unit in each?"
The assistant reads each project's developer, location, handover date, unit mix, payment plans and availability, and lays them side by side.
Prepare sales offers and project briefs
Ask for a one-page sales offer for a specific unit, or a project brief in English or Arabic. Nogbase returns the figures the offer needs: project facts, the unit, every installment of each payment plan (recalculated if you quote your own price), offer terms and images. It also returns your name, role and your company's public branding, so the document carries your letterhead.
The assistant then writes the document in the chat. Nogbase does not store or send it, so check the figures before you share it. Your branded PDF and Word offers remain available in the Broker App.
Check a unit as an investment
- "Evaluate unit A-1204 as an investment if it rents for AED 140,000 a year."
The assistant returns an estimate: entry cost, the payment schedule, market value from Dubai Land Department sales, value scenarios if the unit is sold at handover, break-even and, from the rent you give, the yield. Every figure comes with its source and date. The scenarios are not forecasts and the result is not investment advice, so present it to a buyer as an estimate, never as a promised return.
Open brochures and documents
For projects you can see, the assistant can list the brochures and documents and open one for you through a link that expires after five minutes. Every file opened this way is recorded in Nogbase's audit log.
What developers can do
Review your own projects and units
- "List my projects with the number of available, reserved and sold units."
- "Show the archived units in Creek Gardens."
Searches about your own projects stay within the projects your workspace owns, including units you have archived.
See what changed
- "What changed in my projects since Monday?"
The assistant can check which projects and units were updated since a point in time, which is useful before a sales meeting or a launch review.
Find files
- "Which files are attached to Tower B, and open the latest price list."
The assistant lists the files in your workspace, optionally for one project or unit, and opens a single file through a five-minute link.
Check how your projects appear to the market
Developers can also search the wider catalog the same way brokers do. That shows how your project's units, prices and payment plans read next to others in the same area.
Draft from your own data
Launch summaries, project briefs and internal notes can start from the figures already in Nogbase rather than a copied spreadsheet. With Claude Code or Codex, technical teams can also read the collections and records their workspace can access, for reporting or internal tools.
What the connector does not do
The connector reads; it does not act. It cannot:
- create, edit or delete projects, units, prices or records;
- submit EOIs, hold or reserve units, or approve anything;
- read another company's private information, or anything outside your workspace and permissions;
- give permanent file links or bulk downloads.
Actions with consequences, such as reserving a unit, approving an EOI or changing a price, stay in the Nogbase apps, where your approvals and audit trail apply.
Your data
- What the assistant receives: only the results of the requests it makes for you, within your permissions. It never receives your password, personal email address, bank or tax details, or another company's private information.
- What Nogbase logs: the time, the assistant, the workspace, the tool used and whether it succeeded. Not your question, and not the data returned.
- Sessions: access tokens expire after an hour, and a connection ends after 30 days without use.
- Your AI provider: what OpenAI or Anthropic keeps from your conversations is governed by your agreement with them.
- Disconnecting: remove Nogbase in your assistant's settings, or under Settings → AI assistants in the Developer App or Preferences → AI assistants in the Broker App. The connection ends immediately.
More detail is in section 15 of the privacy policy and on the security page.
How to connect
You need a Nogbase developer or broker account. Brokers can create a free Broker App account. Then:
- ChatGPT: open Nogbase in the ChatGPT plugin directory, choose Install plugin, then sign in to Nogbase, check the workspace and approve.
- Claude, Claude Code and Codex: add Nogbase as a custom connector with the URL
https://api.nogbase.ae/mcp, then sign in, choose the workspace and approve.
The AI connectors page has the exact steps for each assistant.
It takes about a minute.

Frequently asked questions
Which AI assistants work with Nogbase?
ChatGPT on the web, where Nogbase is in the plugin directory, plus Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop), Claude Code and Codex, where you add Nogbase as a custom connector with one URL, https://api.nogbase.ae/mcp. Either way you sign in with your Nogbase account.
Can the assistant change anything in Nogbase?
No. The connector is read-only. It cannot create, change or delete records, submit EOIs, hold units or approve anything. Those actions stay in the Nogbase Broker and Developer apps.
What can a broker ask?
Brokers can search the unit inventory they can see by area, developer, unit type, price and payment-plan terms, compare projects for a client, open project brochures and documents, and get the figures for a branded sales offer.
What can a developer ask?
Developers can review their own projects and units, including archived ones, see what changed since they last checked, find files attached to a project or unit, and draft project briefs from their own data.
Does Nogbase see what I ask the assistant?
No. Nogbase logs which tool was used and whether it succeeded, not your question or the data returned. What the AI provider keeps is governed by your agreement with OpenAI or Anthropic.
